The artwork in this graphic novel is simply stunning as you can see from the cover image below.
Neela, or Neil as she prefers to be called, is transported to the land of the demons where she is Neelakshi, the bue-eyed dark maiden of an ancient prophecy. Her quest is to obtain Amrit, the nectar of immortality and give it to the demons, who are not the evil creatures of myth. On the contrary, the demigods appear to lust for power more than the demons. Will Neelakshi obtain Amrit? And will she hand it over to the demons? Asvin intends to create a 64 paged one off graphic novel. We would be finishing the book by July/August 2011.

About the team:
Asvin Srivatsangam works as a graphic designer for his living, but his dream is to make it big as a producer of comics and delight millions worldwide. His early childhood was much enriched by cartoons, then by Indian mythological stories, and as he became older, the comics of Marvel and DC. A proud father of the cutest baby on earth, Asvin lives with his family in Sunnyvale, California.
Ashok Rajagopalan, my writing partner and published writer and illustrator of children’s books, who shares the same dream, I want to produce ‘Neelakshi,’ a sword and sorcery graphic novel with a strong female protagonist, Neil.
For this project, we have enlisted the support and skills of the talented artist Judit Tondora and the amazing colorist Roland Pilcz. They are both from Austria.
